Vision

A social order that ensures individual liberties and collective well being is the vision that inspires us into action.

Mission

To empower the under-privileged people through quality education

Objectives

1. Provision of free subsidized quality educational services to the under-served communities in FATA/N-W.F.P.

2. Building a system of education that develops in students:

  • Critical and analytical thinking.
  • Problem solving and social skills.
  • Literary and artistic faculties.

3. Establishing a community based system of education through Community Education Committee (CEC) bodies.

4. Empowering women by educating and involving them in decision making processes at all levels.

Our Inspiration

Aspirations

The BKTEF aspires to focus on female education in the future becuase of low female literacy rate in the target areas as well as threats to female education. We are also working on collaboration with development partners on youth & women development programs as well as regional peace initiatives.

Challenges

Religious extremism, precarious security situation & availability of adequate resources are some of the challenges in areas of operation for BKTEF; however, our work has not been hampered so far by these challenges. Community-ownership of the BKTEF schools is the strongest foundation.
