BKTEF organizes second Psychological Counseling Orientation session for BK School Counselors

The Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation organized a one day psychological counseling orientation session for Baacha Khan Schools counselors in BKTEF Directorate on August 04, 2017.

The BKTEF periodically organizes orientation sessions in order to train and guide the school counselors and educate them with new techniques and strategies of dealing with students, which is the core part of the BKTEF's Alternative model of Education.

Ms. Wagma Feroz, Master trainer, Psychological Counseling, BKTEF, initiated the session with introduction to child psycholgy, dealing with students' behavioral, emotional and social problems. The participants discussed problems faced by students in detail and their experiences while dealing with them. After a detailed discussion on the students' problems, Ms. Wagma discussed Guidance Counseling and role of school Counselors.

Mr. Khadim Hussain, The Managing Director of BKTEF, a renowned scholar and educationist discussed in detail vision and mission of the BKTEF, Baacha Khan Paradigm, Narrative of Khudayi Khidmatgaar Movement, importance of counseling in schools and alternative model of Education in Baacha Khan Schools which educates the students about Pluralism, Human Dignity, Multiple skills, critical consciousness, Aesthetic Consciousness and Environmental consciousness.

At the end participants’ feedback was recorded and the session was ended with vote of thanks.
