Baacha Khan Education Foundation holds three days Orientation Workshop on Implementation of Article 25-A

“Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation has implemented the critical model of education at Baacha Khan Schools with a cost-effective strategy. This model aims to augment students’ ability to think critically which allows them to recognize connections between their individual problems and experiences and the social contexts in which they are embedded. This also allows students to become environment conscious, self-disciplined and law abiding citizens. Therefore, it is our responsibility to spread the model so that govt schools also adopt this model” said Dr. Khadim Hussain, MD BKTEF during Orientation Workshop on Implementation of Article 25-A at Baacha Khan School Shahbaz Garhi Mardan held on December 29-31, 2016.

“Technology is changing the way classrooms operate and students learn at an incredible rate. However, for technology to achieve its maximum potential, it must be harnessed and implemented properly. This requires that the facilitator, the teacher, possess a certain set of knowledge and skills to understand how and when various tools best support their curriculum. For this purpose, BKTEF organized a system of teachers’ training program which aims to train teachers on the activity based and child centered teaching methodology with the use of modern technology” he added.

The Workshop was arranged by BKTEF. Workshop modules included Article 25-A and its legal aspect, current status of implementation of Article 25-A, Quality Education, BKTEF Critical Model of Education and Media Campaign for the Implementation of Article 25-A. Resource persons of the training were Dr. Khadim Hussain, Mr. Faheem Ullah and Ms. Wagma Feroz. Ms. Madeeha Khan (M/E officer BKTEF), Administration and Support Staff of BKS Shahbaz Garhi facilitated arrangements of the training. Large number of elected councilors, youth, educationists, and women attended the three days’ workshop.

District Mardan Nazim (Major), Himayatullah Mayar was chief guest at the concluding session of the workshop and gave away certificates to the participants.
