Baacha Khan School Alumni Conference

“Khudai Khidmatgar Movement aimed at social transformation of Pashtoon society in early 20th century. The guiding principles of Khudai Khidmatgar Movement were human dignity, pluralism and indigenous identity.  Khudai Khidmatgars worked for the promotion of education, knowledge and wisdom through Azaad Madrasah. Baacha Khan and his comrades also worked for the development of indigenous skills and various cottage industries were established to alleviate poverty. Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation carries forward this vision and mission of Khudai Khidmatgar Movement through modern education,” said MD BKTEF Khadim Hussain while addressing Baacha Khan Schools Alumni Conference on July 29, 2015 at Peshawar.

The aim of the conference was to encourage and appreciate graduates of the Baacha Khan Schools of the year 2015. During the conference graduates of Baacha Khan Schools expressed their views about their experience at Baacha Khan Schools.  Most of the students appreciated Baacha Khan Schools for its distinct features such as; culture education, indigenous skills, drawing, painting, English language skills, study tours, sports, speech and debate competitions and absence of violence. All the graduates of Baacha Khan School appreciated the efforts of Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF) for providing free, subsidized and quality education to the marginalized communities.

Certificates of appreciation were distributed among all class 10th graduates of Baacha Khan Schools and prizes were distributed among the position holders of Baacha Khan School Charsadda, Mathra, Nouthia, Takht-e-Nasrati (Karak) and Gandigar (Upper Dir).

The conference was attended by the graduates, principals and teachers of Baacha Khan School Mathra, Nothia, Charsadda, Karak and Gandigar. School Management, Field Department and Media Department also participated in the conference.
