BKS Swat Teacher's Training
“Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF) is the continuation of Khudai Khidmatgar Movement and it strives to realize the vision and mission of Baacha Khan, i.e., to bring positive social transformation through education and peaceful means. In this regard, the BKTEF has opened Baacha Khan High School for the underserved community of Mingora, Swat, to uplift the social condition of the community. The Baacha Khan School has not only provided employment to the relevant community but it will also spread a message of love, human dignity and peace,” said Khadim Hussain MD BKTEFduring closing ceremony of the Basic Teachers Training Mingora, Swat arranged on March 17-20, 2015 at Peshawar.
“The education model of the BKTEF aims at enhancing critical and creative skills of the student to equip them with most important life skills, i.e., problem solving skills. It also attempts to shape the personality of the students in such a way that they become environment conscious, self-disciplined and law abiding citizens. Therefore, we have a great responsibility on our shoulder to accomplish this herculean task” he added.
The Training was arranged by the school management department of the BKTEF. Training modules included Baacha Khan’s Paradigm i.e. non-violent philosophy of Baacha Khan, critical model of education, child centered and activity based teaching and learning, classroom management and language teaching methods. Resource persons of the training were Dr. Khadim Hussain, Mr. Imran Khan, Mr. Faheemullah, Ms.Farishta Mazhary and Ms. Aimen Riaz. Ms. Tayyaba Najib (Coordination officer BKTEF) and Ms. Samina (Assistant School Support Officer Administration) facilitated arrangement of the training.
